747 wont throttle down. not sure why, but once i get a 747 up to speed and in the air, i cant move the throttles back down from 100% unless auto-pilot does it... even manually using mouse doesnt work.
Throttle up definitely means to increase the flow of fuel to the engine, but whether that increase in fuel flow results in an increase in speed is a separate issue- The brakes might still be applied for example. This is typical in aircraft operations on short runways- the pilot will want to be developing maximum...
I used a Honda 2.3 the other day and hated the combination of a centrifugal clutch and twistgrip. My own Mercury2.5 is a lot easier to operate with a lever throttle.I was trying to get alongside my boat with the Honda against a 3 knot tide and it was a nightmare. With my Mercury I just set the throttle and approach slowly then kill the engine. The Honda requires careful twistgripping and steering ...
Sep 09, 2008 · My 97-98 Mercury 40hp outboard won't start after it has warmed up. It will start right away and idle when I first put it in the water (every time). It also runs very strong after it is first started. BUT when I go to restart the motor after I have been sitting in a fishing spot, it won't start. Any suggestions on what this could be?

Aug 27, 2019 · Outboard knock on full throttle, any ideas? So ,I recently purchased a Honda BF5A 2009 but have noticed that it makes a knocking sound when I’m planning at full throttle so I have to back off a tad.
As long as this is not a mechanical issue and is due to gummed up internals this stuff should clear it out. Run it at idle and part throttle( to where it will go without issue )for say 5 minutes then start trying to rev it higher every minute or two. If no change go back to taking it easy for a few minutes.
